Giving to Emmanuel with Thrivent Simply Giving

Emmanuel has partnered with Thrivent Financial to offer an option for members who wish to regularly give to Emmanuel on a planned basis. Thrivent has a mechanism where an amount you specify can be transferred to Emmanuel on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, without worrying about checks or envelopes. The Simply Giving program

If you are experienced with your own bank’s web billpay program, you will find this program easy to use. Best of all, Thrivent doesn't charge Emmanuel a thing. About Thrivent

Most of us at Emmanuel are familiar with the name Thrivent … a merger a few years ago of Aid Association for Lutherans and Lutheran Brotherhood offered an opportunity to combine their forces and be of assistance to Lutheran families. Thrivent has contracted with an outside vendor, Vanco Services LLC, to provide a way for members of Emmanuel to schedule automatic payments from their checking accounts to Emmanuel. They also can, through a different mechanism, make payments to Emmanuel for you using a credit card.

What’s the advantage for you, and what’s the advantage for Emmanuel?

The advantage to you is that you can make your offering on a regular basis and don’t have to remember your envelopes or your checkbook. You can arrange your payment at a time that’s convenient for you, and can arrange for those payments during the summer months, when you may be on vacation, or during periods of illness.

How does this help Emmanuel?

Emmanuel’s church council relies on pledges to know how much money they can anticipate as they plan for each year’s programs. It is also useful for them to know how much money in regular contributions comes in. When your contribution is credited electronically directly from your checking account to Emmanuel’s bank account, you know that your funds come to work for Emmanuel right away.
