Music

."Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Let all the earth worship Him with gladness, and come into His presence with singing." --- Psalm 100

Music is an important aspect of the life of our church, from that which is heard during Sunday worship and other special services throughout the year, to our commitment to provide the best in recital and concert performances for the Emmanuel family and for the community at large.
We have three active choirs.

Our children's choir, JOYFUL PRAISE, is under the direction of Susan Drumm. It offers singing opportunities combined with other important developmental skills for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 12. The Director of Music, Dingwall Fleary, leads the ADULT CHOIR and the EMMANUEL RINGERS, our handbell choir. There are openings in each of our choirs, especially ringers, and women's voices for the Adult Choir.

About Our Choirs to learn more about our choirs, including our weekly rehearsal schedule, or call the church office at 301-365-5733.
At least four times a year, as a part of our music ministry, we present a variety of recitals and concerts by outstanding guest artists. They range in diversity from music for organ, brass and timpani, recitals by instrumental soloists, woodwind ensembles and string quartets and trios, to vocal soloists and pianists. To help offset the costs for artistic fees, free-will contributions are encouraged; however, the concert series is free of charge and open to everyone who loves great music.

"Praise Him with the sound of trumpets, and with the lute and harp; Praise Him with drums and dancing, and with strings and pipe; Praise Him with loud sounding cymbals."--Psalm 150
