About Our Choirs

VOICE AND BELL CHOIRS enrich our worship experience at Emmanuel. We welcome new members to all of our choirs. See below for our weekly rehearsal schedule. The adult choir serves primarily at the 11:00 service, but is often heard at 8:30 as well. The music they prepare is of medium to more challenging difficulty. For Christmas and Easter, major cantatas or oratorios are given by this choir, assisted by an instrumental ensemble. They rehearse every Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:45 pm.

JOYFUL PRAISE, our children's choir, is made up of children ages 6 and up and meets every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. They sing at least twice a month at services selected by the Director. They also provide the music for the Family Christmas Eve service and they

EMMANUEL RINGERS play several times throughout the year, with special emphasis on Festival services. The bell choir has the potential for 4-octave repertoire. This is a multi-generational activity, with adults and high-school students participating. Families with children 10 and up are invited to consider it. Ringing together will be fun! If you play or have played the piano, even if only a little, you can probably do this. The Ringers meet Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

FIRST-TIME RINGERS: Mr. Fleary holds 45 minute workshops on for those
interested in becoming handbell ringers. These sessions take place following the 11:00 service several times throughout the year, and include hands-on demonstrations as well as videos of performances or
